Guided Kayak Tours at Sleeping Bear Dunes
After arriving to our launch location at Esch Beach in Empire, MI, we will unload the Kayaks and make a short walk with them down to the water. After a brief safety discussion, We will start our trip, heading north on Lake Michigan! We will paddle along the shore line of the beautiful Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. Don’t worry, your guide will be with you every step of the way to take pictures! At about the half way point, you will see the Empire Bluffs, with the steep sand dunes scaling hundreds of feet above the shore line! After 3.5 leisurely miles of paddling, we will arrive at our destination (Empire Beach), where you will be greeted by your driver. You will notice your mountain bikes already unloaded, and your lunch prepared. We will take 30 minutes for lunch before starting our next adventure!
10ft Tioga Kayak
This is a 10ft Sit on Top Kayak. They are very sturdy and easy to maneuver. These are a safer alternative to a sit in kayak, being that you are able to re-enter the kayak from the water, if you were to flip.
